Soundwave has been busy these past couple of weeks recording a new song for a Youth Coference in January 2010. The song is called 'Never be the Same.' It was written by Soundwave's Jeremy Rodriguez and Doug Weisbruch (musician/youth minister from Temple, TX). Jeremy invited Doug to write the theme song with him back in the Summer 2009, where they began to brainstorm ideas. They left there having a very rough idea and agreed to work with these ideas on their own. They met back up a couple months later to see each others progess. This second meeting consisted of a concrete chord progression and melody line with a new chorus and added bridge. Jeremy and Doug ran through the song a few times and layed a track down on a digital recorder. After listening to the track, they felt that had something speacial.
The band began to work it up during rehersals and started to play it live, getting great responses after the show! Soundwave's Ron Johns Jr. and Micah Petrea have been hard at work mixing and editing the song!
